My Life with Trees

At age 14 as a freshman a most critical event occurred. I was introduced to stream of consciousness as a way of writing...and what I had been doing all my writing life was supremely impacted. A day does not go by that I do not write...some thing of prose, poetry, correspondance and commentary. I am what? druid? woman? mother? lover? a drop in the ocean? all of the above. About Me

Being given up for adoption has impacted the person I grew to be. I have been questioning my existence since the day I was told I had been adopted. In 1999 as I was expecting my one and only daughter, I was reunited with my birth-mother. Being reunited with her has also had its influence on my ever developing psyche. What did I know even without her in my life? I am a child who loves the sea, loves trees and regards them like kin. I am happiest living near the ocean. I have been documenting my life since I was nine years old and have all my journals to prove it...and oh my goodness how "ridiculous" those adolescent entries seem sometimes. And in truth, they impart a wisdom that both fades and shifts with age and experience. And I vow to remember for as long as I can what is life-affirming. Living is a great spiritual adventure. And I will be a light unto myself and others.
